Titre : How cannabidiol modulates brain activity
Résumé : Cannabis sativa L. derivatives are emerging as therapeutics and cannabidiol (CBD) has been shown to decrease the number and severity of seizures in patients with certain treatment-resistant epilepsies. Here, I will talk about our recent work demonstrating how CBD blocks an endogenous signaling system in the brain to dampen neuronal excitability, providing a plausible mechanism of action for CBD’s antiseizure effects.
